The Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioning Unit is a widely adopted concealed HVAC equipment for commercial and engineering projects. Installed hidden above ceilings, it combines aesthetic appearance and practicality. Different from household split air conditioners, proper operation standards directly affect service life, energy consumption and operational safety, making basic usage guidelines essential.
Observe standard startup procedures: do not activate the unit immediately after powering on. Let the compressor stabilize for 3–5 minutes to avoid component damage caused by instantaneous high-pressure startup. Avoid frequent startup and shutdown within short intervals. Repeated cycling sharply increases compressor load and may burn winding coils or damage start capacitors. Maintain a minimum interval of 3 minutes between shutdown and restart.
Airflow management constitutes a core operational point. Return and supply air grilles form the core channel for indoor air circulation. Do not allow curtains, shelves, ceiling panels or sundries to block them under any circumstances. Blocked supply outlets hinder diffusion of conditioned air, resulting in slow temperature adjustment, doubled internal load and increased power consumption. Blocked return air grilles cause insufficient intake, abnormal suction pressure, overload protection and automatic shutdown. Long-term blockage will permanently damage core components. In addition, close doors and windows as much as possible during operation to reduce infiltration of outdoor hot or cold air. This helps reach target temperatures rapidly, lower unit load and save energy.
Set temperatures within a reasonable range: set cooling temperature between 24–27℃ in summer and heating temperature between 18–22℃ in winter. Avoid extreme temperature settings. Excessively low cooling setpoints or excessively high heating setpoints force the unit to run at full load continuously, accelerating aging of filters, evaporators and compressors. At startup, use high fan speed for rapid temperature adjustment. Switch to medium or low speed once target temperature is reached for constant temperature operation and enhanced comfort.
Monitor operating status continuously. Normal operation generates steady sound without heavy vibration. Immediately cut power and shut down the unit upon detecting sharp abnormal noise, heavy vibration, water dripping, circuit tripping or fluctuating supply air temperature; do not continue running. Ceiling-mounted installation conceals internal wiring, pipelines and fan assemblies, making internal faults invisible. Unauthorized disassembly may lead to electric shock, water leakage and secondary component damage. Always engage qualified HVAC technicians for inspection and repair.
Other precautions: avoid overloading the unit. Do not rely on a single low-capacity unit for continuous full-load operation in oversized spaces, as sustained overload drastically shortens service life. Do not stack flammable and explosive materials near air supply and return grilles, and refrain from spraying corrosive gas, which may trigger safety hazards or corrode metal parts and pipelines. Cut off the main power supply when the venue remains unoccupied for a long time to avoid standby power consumption and potential risks caused by aging circuits.
