What Is The Typical Service Life Of The Residential Fan Coil Unit?

Filter cleaning directly affects the air volume, energy consumption and indoor air quality of Kasuo fan coil units, and the cleaning cycle varies based on application scenarios.

For household fan coils installed in villas and apartments, take down and wash the filter once every 1 to 2 months. In dusty industrial areas or commercial shops with heavy passenger flow, shorten the cleaning cycle to every 2 weeks. The cleaning operation is very simple without professional tools: pull out the filter screen gently, rinse it with clean cold water to wash away dust and hair, and air-dry it completely before putting it back. Never install damp filters, as they will breed mold inside the unit.

If the filter stays blocked for months, airflow will be severely restricted. The fan motor has to run at high speed constantly, increasing power consumption and shortening the service life of the fan coil. Annual deep cleaning of the heat exchanger and drain pan is also recommended to remove accumulated dirt and prevent drain pipe blockage. Regular simple filter maintenance can keep your Kasuo fan coil working efficiently for more than 15 years.
